Website: Kentucky Instructional Materials Resource Center (KIMRC)
The Kentucky Instructional Materials Resource Center (KIMRC) is designed to assist schools in obtaining specialized materials for Kentucky students who are blind and visually impaired. The resource center also conducts an annual registration of students who are blind and visually impaired in Kentucky.
The KIMRC is under the management of the Kentucky School for the Blind Outreach Department, Division of State Schools, Kentucky Department of Education.
Features
- Free of charge for students who are legally blind
- Products include Braille, Large Print, Audio and Tactile mapping
- Available for public, private, and homeschool students
- Infants and preschool children that are served through private agencies are eligible
Eligibility Requirements and Application Process
Enrollment and ordering of products is conducted by responsible educators within Kentucky’s public schools.
