The Lexington Lions Club provides hundreds of free hearing screenings to adults and children each year. The Hearing & Speech Center (HSC) is a private, nonprofit agency with over 60 years of experience working with children with hearing loss and/or speech/language impairments. The Center began in 1960 as a preschool for children with hearing loss after a group of parents approached the founders, Jimmy and Edie Frankel, with a request to create an educational alternative to the state residential school for the deaf. The Family Hearing Center at The Hearing & Speech Center (HSC) provides comprehensive hearing healthcare to clients of all ages.
