This lively session, all based on practical experience, will move from the overarching issue of Assistive Technology and its effective implementation for our students through to the vibrancy of student voice, in particular when supported by AAC and the consequent benefits and potential difficulties.&nbsp; previously, Hartlepool LA and North Tyneside LA.&nbsp; Carol was named as one of the top ten educators 2018 in the field of educational technology for her inclusion work, #EdTech2018. &nbsp;She was awarded an Ed Futurist award in 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Carol is currently a member of the Dept of Education Assistive Technology Expert Group; a member of the BETT Advisory Team; a BETT Awards Judge and has been a panel member and contributor to sessions at the House of Lords for the APPGAT committee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Workshop\/keynote presentations include FETC and ATIA Florida, Denmark, BETT, Singapore, &nbsp;Rotterdam, Manchester, Geneva, Cologne, London and two five-city conference\/workshop tours round Australia in 2018 and 2019.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Presented by Carol Allen, Education Advisor for ICT and Inclusion Wednesday, September 7, 20221:00pm &#8211;
