Summary

This workshop will examine ways that technology from ViewPlus can be used to create accessible educational materials for students who are blind and visually impaired. Tiger Braille Printers and the Tiger Software Suite combine to provide dynamic ways to create accessible maps, charts and Braille documents. Attendees will learn more about creating these materials though demonstration and hands-on activities. Participants will learn how to:

  1. Translate MS Word Documents to Braille documents using Tiger Software Suite.
  2. Create a tactile map of KY using main stream technology and technology from ViewPlus.
  3. Create a tactile chart using MS Excel and tools from ViewPlus.
