You are invited to attend one of the Town Hall Meetings or Press Conferences (schedule attached) at which Governor Beshear will be discussing the state budget deficit and options for addressing this dire situation, including cuts. The budget deficit currently is projected to be $456 million for FY ’09.

It is very important that we have people who are champions for assuring that needed services and supports for persons with disabilities are available across the Commonwealth to attend the Governor’s meeting in your area. We need to be vocal in support of generating new revenue, particularly in significantly raising the cigarette excise tax!
